Tourism Developers Association of Bangladesh (TDAB), Celebrate the World tourism Day every Year on 27th September,
World Tourism Day 2017 presents a unique opportunity to raise awareness on the contribution of sustainable tourism to development among public and private sector decision-makers and the international community, while mobilising all stakeholders to work together in making tourism a catalyst for positive change, says the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The government and different organizations have chalked out weeklong programs to celebrate the World Tourism Day with the global theme ‘Sustainable Tourism – a Tool for Development’.
Habib Ali Syed Chairman of Tourism Developers Association of Bangladesh (TDAB) also participate the rally organized by TDAB in the Capital on Wednesday along with TDAB BOD & Members.
Md. Zamiul Ahmed Former Chairman of TDAB also Present at The Rally. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) AKhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir and CEO of BTB Dr. Md Nasir Uddin and secretary to civil aviation and tourism ministry were present at the Rally at Dhaka today.
In the tourism perspective, Bangladesh is a land of wide rivers, lakes, green fields, dense forests, hills, virgin beaches and beautiful islands. Rural Bangladesh is full of birds and butterflies, trees and bushes. It has also the largest mangrove forests and unbroken longest sea beach of the world. That is why it is considered that the world tourism can be attracted here.=
However, to develop tourism industry in Bangladesh priority should be given on the following issues:
a. The government should put much effort to develop tourism infrastructure.
b. The foreign missions of Bangladesh have to be taken responsibility of promoting tourism in respective countries.
3. Public & private sector should be working together in respective fields.
4. Appropriate measures should be taken to grow public awareness to the tourism industry.
5. Investors should be motivated and patronized by the respective authorities both nationally and internationally.
Therefore, the TDAB has been established to make sure that there is a strong relationship between private and public sectors. It also intends to create an environment which ensures the quality trade practice by providing better services to the tourists.
